"Understand the characteristics and advantages of nylon: why is it widely used in various industries?"

Nylon is the world's first synthetic fiber developed by the outstanding American scientist Carothers and a scientific research team under his leadership. Its emergence is a major breakthrough in the synthetic fiber industry. Nylon is the Chinese name for the synthetic fiber nylon. Since Jinzhou Chemical Fiber Factory is the first factory to synthesize polyamide fiber in my country, it is named "nylon" in China. Nylon is polyamide fiber, which has a more well-known name, nylon.

There are many varieties of nylon, including nylon 6, nylon 66, nylon 11, and nylon 610. The most important ones are nylon 66 and nylon 6. It has high strength, high wear resistance, and good resilience. It can be made into various clothing materials and knitwear by pure spinning or blending.

Advantages: The wear resistance of nylon fabric is many times higher than other fiber fabrics of similar products, and its durability is very good. Its most prominent advantage is that its wear resistance is higher than that of all other fibers, 10 times higher than cotton and 20 times higher than wool. Adding some polyamide fiber to the blended fabric can greatly improve its wear resistance; when When stretched to 3-6%, the elastic recovery rate can reach 100%; it can withstand tens of thousands of bends without breaking.

The hygroscopicity of nylon fabrics is better than that of synthetic fiber fabrics, so clothing made of nylon is more comfortable to wear than polyester clothing.

Purpose and application areas:
01

The application fields of nylon fiber are second only to polyester. For civilian use, nylon can be blended or purely spun into various medical and knitted products. Nylon filament is mostly used in knitting and silk industries. Its monofilament, multifilament and elastic yarn are more suitable for making various beautiful, comfortable and elastic socks; nylon short fiber is mostly used with wool or other chemical fibers. Wool-type products are blended to make various wear-resistant and durable clothing materials.

In industry, it can be used to make industrial cloth, ropes, tents, fishing nets, conveyor belts, containers, etc.; in national defense, it is mainly used as parachutes and other military fabrics; among them, a large number of them are used in tire cords. The advantages are high strength and impact resistance.

Nylon is a hydrophobic fiber with the characteristics of fast dyeing speed and high exhaustion rate. However, due to different spinning process specifications, it is easy to cause great differences in fiber structure, dyeing performance, and color difference. , a little negligence when formulating the sample process may cause uneven dyeing, resulting in defects such as color difference, color stains, color spots, dark and light edges, stripes, color inconsistency and poor dyeing fastness.

During the dyeing process, there are many factors that affect the quality of nylon dyed products, among which the control of the pH value of the dye liquor is one of the key factors for the success or failure of dyeing. The lower the pH value of the dyeing solution, the faster the dyeing speed, and the worse the dye's leveling properties and warp hiding ability. Production practice has proved that by focusing on several aspects including equipment, technology, dyeing materials, color difference between large and small samples and operations, the accuracy and stability of nylon dyeing can be improved, so that the first-time success rate of small sample lofting can reach more than 90%.

Let you know about covered yarn---Covered yarn

Wrapped yarn, also known as parallel yarn and covered yarn, is a special structural yarn made by wrapping part of the fiber or the entire yarn or filament on the yarn core (core filament). It can be used for brushed woven fabrics and other products
